Description

This interactive power point lesson teaches congruence, and how geometric shapes can be rotated, translated, or reflected, and still be congruent. The terms slide, flip, and turn, are used along with rotation, translation, and reflection. The second half of the presentation allows students to practice identifying the transformations, and then provides positive feedback after the correct answers are revealed. This presentation is very simple, with no background patterns to be distracting, yet it is very appealing with bright colors and fun animations.

A printable student page is included, which can be completed as students engage with the power point, slide-by-slide. When finished, it makes a perfect addition to a math journal or notebook.
