Description

The congruent triangles tiered activity provides four levels of practice over congruent triangles and congruence statements. Tier 1 starts with triangle congruence statements based off of diagrams. Level 2 introduces corresponding parts based on congruence statements or diagrams. Level 3 reviews properties that are used to determine whether the two triangles are congruent. Level 4 includes practice problems that involve solving for missing values within two congruent triangles using the congruence statement to determine corresponding parts. In my classroom, I laminate these pages and have students answer them with an expo marker and a partner to encourage mathematical discussion. However, these could easily be used as an individual worksheet or a stations activity. An answer key is included.
