Conservation Initiative Project

This is a great resource to help students learn about conservation efforts around the world.

In this project, students will choose a location to research, create a PowerPoint, and present their findings to the class. They will need to be able to answer the following questions throughout their research:

• What was your location? Describe in detail the ecosystem present.
• How have humans impacted the environment in that location?
• What organisms are becoming endangered/extinct? Why is this happening? How does the loss of these species impact other species?
• What could happen to the environment if no conservation efforts are put in place?
• What programs should be implemented to protect the environment there?
• What funding and support would be needed to make those programs happen?
