Looking for a way to engage both, in class and virtual students?! Look no further, this interactive resource comes with 3 engaging activities for students to practice their phonics skills. All 3 resources focus on the dr- consonant blend and can be used for targeted small group, guided reading, literacy stations, partner work or as an individual formative assessment.

Activity 1- Word sort

Students will identify whether or not a word/picture begins with the consonant blend dr-. Depending on the word, they will drag the circle to either the box that says dr- or the box that says not dr-.

Activity 2- Crossword puzzle (Includes intervention and enrichment option)

A fun challenge here! Students will read clues to determine what dr- word belongs in the boxes. They will drag the letters to the correct boxes to solve the puzzle. There are two options available for this puzzle to support students who need intervention as well as students who need enrichment.

Activity 3- Dot Drop

In this engaging activity, students will look at several pictures. If the picture is something that begins with the dr- consonant blend, they will drag a pink circle to the picture. If the picture is not something that begins with the dr- blend, they will drag a blue circle to the picture.
