This package includes 8 friendly digraph monsters who are looking for their matching word friends! This activity helps your students learn and practice reading and identifying common digraphs and the sounds they make in words.

There are 2 ways of completing the activity:

• Option 1 allows for students to look through words to identify the words that have digraphs that match the monster they are working with.
• Option 2 is more challenging and allows for students to add digraphs onto words with missing letters to see if they have created real matching words.

I have included 30 words ranging in difficulty for each digraph which means this activity can be differentiated to meet the needs of many students. If you were using this activity as a literacy centre you could have all group levels complete the same activity but with different level words. You could also continue to add in more challenging words as your students improve their reading skills and need more of a challenge.
