This Google Slides resource is a hands-on and interactive way for you to introduce and review Beginning Digraphs. This digital activity includes teaching slides as well as interactive slides for students to manipulate movable pieces. Some slides include audio so students can click on the speaker to hear the name of the picture. This would be great for distance learning to display via screen sharing or assign to students using Google Classroom. It would also be great to use in the classroom displayed on the SmartBoard. This resource will teach students about beginning digraphs: ch, sh, th, and wh.
This Google Classroom resource includes teaching slides (Google Slides) as well as interactive activities with movable pieces so you can provide the most hands-on and engaging experience a digital resource can provide.
This resource includes 41 Google Slides:
- 6 slides to introduce digraphs: ch, sh, wh, th
- 5 slides to use as a digital anchor chart for students to brainstorm/type words
- 10 slides for students to drag the correct beginning digraph to each picture (3 pictures to a slide)
- 10 slides for students to drag the correct beginning digraph to complete the word (with picture support) *includes audio*
- 10 slides for students to drag and drop movable letters to correctly spell a word (with picture support and movable box so students can check their work/get clues) These slides only have pictures with CCVC words which is perfect for Kindergarten and First Grade. *includes audio*
Your students will enjoy these activities as they are able to drag movable pieces to the correct spots. You can either do this with your class as a whole group activity or assign it to them individually through Google Classroom.
