This high school astronomy unit resource begins with an interactive lab using research, measuring, and mathematical scaling to create a class set of constellations including the Zodiac Constellations, Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, Cassiopeia, and Orion (aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skill for Astronomy 5(C)). Teachers have the choice to allow students to gather interactive notes over all the constellations by completing a gallery walk or incorporate public speaking and have lab groups present to the class.

This resource is flexible and can be condensed to 3 days or lengthened to a week depending on student work ethic and teacher preference.
