Constructions: Compass & Straightedge Exploration
Share

Description

In this lesson, students learn about the use of a compass and straightedge, to make basic geometric figures such as a segment, angle, and circle. Then they use these tools to construct a perpendicular bisector and parallel lines.

This lesson is partner collaborative, but could be adapted to use as direct instruction if desired.

This resource is best followed up with my Constructions: Desmos Geometry Tools Exploration, because students can see multiple construction tools, and the rest of the basic constructions are included in that activity.
