Description

This consumer math resource is great for a loans unit. Students will learn about mortgage loans, mortgage amortization, and have a project based on the two lessons. Students are provided scaffolded notes. In the lessons students will learn about refinancing, principal, interest, reading an amortization schedule, loan term, and interest rates. In the project students will use an online mortgage amortization calculator to determine the total interest paid, the monthly payment, and a breakdown of the principal and interest.
