Help your students use context clues to define multiple meaning words. The BOOM CARDS™ activity supports students understanding of multiple meaning words across multiple activities for speech therapy.

This 61 page Boom Card deck targets 20 multiple meaning words through three different tasks.

1) The target word is presented in two different short paragraphs. Read the paragraph to the student using the context of the text to exemplify the two different meanings. Students are encourage to share what the word means within each of the paragraphs.

2) Students define the multiple meaning words by clicking on two "stick notes" to choose the meanings of the target word.

3) Student is provided with two different definitions of the target word. They are then asked to provide two sentences that demonstrate the different meanings.

The following words are included in this lesson:

Season, crane, company, suit, patient, novel, stern, coast, division, constitution, tissue, gravity, volume, absorb, acute, blunt, character, draft, plane, obscure
