This is a fantastic activity to get kids writing about math!! Students are given a graph and a word bank. Their task is to write a paragraph about the given graph and topic using the provided word bank items at least once. They can, of course, use additional words or repeat but each item must be used once.

This writing task can be used in a wide variety of ways-homework assignment, concept quiz, group task, partner task, round-robin. I've used this in all of these ways, and it is fantastic! It is also a quick check of how well your students truly understand continuity outside of "doing." If we can write about it, then we know it!
