This is a Valentine's Day Conversation Heart math activity for upper grades. Students are given a box or bag of conversation hearts. They will then do activities that involve:
estimating
counting
sorting
comparing with less than, greater than, or equal to
addition
multiplication
fractions
division
tally chart
pictograph
bar graph
This activity can be taught whole group, in partners, or as a center. Students will love having fun as they do math!
