Engaging, High-Interest Roman Numeral Practice!
Rated 5 out of 5
February 24, 2026
This CSI Roman Numeral activity is SUCH a fun way to practice conversions! Instead of just doing a worksheet, students feel like they’re solving a mystery — and that automatically increases engagement. I love how students eliminate suspects as they correctly convert Roman numerals. That built-in self-checking element keeps them focused and motivated. Even my students who normally struggle with math-based skills were locked in because they wanted to figure out “Who is the Roman General?”

I used this for an early finisher activity. My students loved it! It kept them engaged, but learning, while I was working with students who needed more help with core skills.
