Students watch a simple authentic kitchen tutorial on making Guacamole and complete a fill-in the blank activity identifying familiar words and another true false activity on the content. They then look closely at the vocabulary, grammar and steps involved. This leads to a prompt in which they create their own script for a future tutorial of their own. This is one of my favorite projects to do with students as they complete the tutorial at home filming with their iPad or phone and then I ask them to bring a sample into the class to share.
