Description

Each of the 6 challenge card requires the student to draw five rectangles/polygons onto one coordinate grid. The basic level provide all four coordinates for a rectangle, with the cards progressing to providing some or none of the coordinates, but clues using area and perimeter. The drawings progress from simple to more difficult. They are fun and challenging!

How can I use this product?

This set of task cards can be used for a math center for an individual, partners, or groups. Students can also make their own set of coordinate instructions. Perfect for Common Core 3.MD.5-8, 4.MD.3, 5.G.1 and 5.G.2.

What is included?

1 pdf file with 14 pages

* 3 pages of cover/copyright info/and teacher notes

* 1 page of instructions to display at the math center

* 3 cards of coordinate drawing directions (two on a page)

* 1 blank coordinate grid

* 6 completed drawings on grid for an answer key

Some of these are definitely tricky, which makes it easy to differentiate too, without students noticing.
