Description
Smile! You're Coordinate Graphing
This 32-slide PowerPoint presentation will have your students mastering how to graph x and y coordinates (2,3) in no time at all! Along with presenter SMILEY FACE, you students will learn how graph coordinate points, how to decide the correct coordinate points when given a point on the graph, and how to find the correct destination when coordinate points are given. Students are given so much opportunity for guided practice and independent practice, that they are sure to master this standard. The animations are sure to make you and your students smile and giggle all the way through learning coordinate graphing.
This presentation also contains a notes page for students to finish a cloze task as they participate, and graph ordered pairs.
CCSS MATH CONTENT 5 GEOMETRY 1
5.G.A.1 Use a pair of perpendicular number lines, called axes, to define a coordinate system, with the intersection of the lines (the origin) arranged to coincide with the 0 on each line and a given point in the plane located by using an ordered pair of numbers, called its coordinates. Understand that the first number indicates how far to travel from the origin in the direction of one axis, and the second number indicates how far to travel in the direction of the second axis, with the convention that the names of the two axes and the coordinates correspond (e.g., x-axis and x-coordinate, y-axis and y-coordinate).
