“More” is a high frequency word that allows a person to communicate.
Using this book across the week increases participation opportunities and highlights/
repeatedly uses the new word so that anyone watching knows the targeted word. This activity is intended to be used to supplement core word lessons. It is also meant to be used to provide structure for teachers/school staff to increase generalization of target core words in the classroom.
Introduce the new word at the beginning of the week. Preferably, the introduction is made during a whole-group push-in service. After the activity, instruct the teacher
and staff to spend 10-20 minutes per day reviewing the same lesson for the rest of the week.
