Art is ... Numbers 1-20 with Artworks and Geometric Shapes,
PreK-K (21 pages)
You will download a Zip fIle with 2 files of JPG number pages, and 1 Page of Artwork Shapes. These can be printed as 8.5 " x 11 " posters and/or as worksheets for your students (a place for their name is at the bottom). These pages would make great books for the students to take home.
Each number page has:
1. The number (1)
2. The number word (one)
3. Tally Marks ( l )
4. Number of Artworks/Shapes to Count (1 Artwork: Circle Shape)
5. Blanks for the students to practice in
6. 10 Frames
7. Place for Name
I showed these shapes:
Circle, Square, Rectangle, Triangle, Oval, Diamond, 3 sided polygon, Heart, Diamond, Pentagon, Hexagon, Rhombus.
(Note: I showed both a geometric diamond and a precious stone diamond)
I used either Artist Artwork, e.g. Stella, Delauney, Mondrian or
colorful geometric shapes in the counting section.
Anything Visual: Geometric Shape /artwork is used in accordance with Fair Use in Education. Students need visuals in order to comprehend the numbers, visually and with manipulations. The artwork will enhance their mathematical comprehension.
