Back To School Count & Match File Folder Game | Early Learning Math Activities:

This Back To School Themed file folder game is such a cute colorful activity!

Your students will count how many crayons are on each flashcard and then match it to the correct numerical number on the bottom part of the crayon box. It’s a great way for your students to practice one-to-one correspondence as well as number recognition practice.

Objective: To help your students use one-to-one correspondence by counting how many crayons are in each box. This activity will also help your students identify numbers 1-10.

Prep: This file folder game is simple to download and print. Once printed you will attach the 2 pages with numerical numbers on them to the file folder as well as the front cover page. After that cut out and laminate the number flashcards (top part of the crayon boxes). Once that is done I recommend putting a velcro dot on the black dot of the bottom part of the crayon boxes that are attached to the file folder as well as on the back of the flashcards. This will make the matching process easier for both you and your students!

Directions: Once the file folder is put together your students will count how many crayons are on each flashcard and then attach it to the corresponding number to complete each crayon box.
