Description
Ready to save some time, sanity, and copies with those dreaded counting assessments? This set of 8 different assessments will take the guesswork out of knowing your students' individual oral counting and writing numbers abilities. One sheet of paper per student lasts the whole year and records their progress on that assessment for you to see at a glance. Perfect for RTI and guided math groups!
When I taught first grade we were asked to assess our students’ ability to count to 100 but were not given a way to compile data. I searched and came up empty so ended up creating my own. I have used these exact same assessment sheets for 10 years now both in the States and abroad with kindergartners through second graders. You do not need to be teaching Common Core Standards to be using these – I wasn’t!
Reasons to Love Counting Assessments:
♥ Super simple and quick to use
♥ Color coding suggestions provided so one copy lasts the whole year
♥ Easily see at-a-glance a student’s progress over time
♥ All assessment forms have the option of with or without the common core standard (where applicable)
♥ Students can graph their own progress or teachers can choose to record data on a student or whole class form
♥ Includes counting and writing numbers 1-100 and 1-120, skip counting by 2’s, 5’s, 10’s to 100, and writing numbers 0-20.
