In the explore station, learners will access print materials and find the keyword: PLANETS in their encyclopedia and locate a fact. Students will identify nonfiction text features in the encyclopedia to include: heading, italics, picture caption, diagram, and photograph. Students will also identify the parts of the encyclopedia: guide words, page numbers, volume number.
