Groups of students will utilize the internet or use textbooks to create their own continent. They will decide where it goes on the planet, the geography of it, countries that inhabit it and create three different maps (political, physical and thematic) of the continent. In this lesson, which should take two full class periods (plus one more if they are to present) to complete. Students will learn about different types of maps, landforms and geography all while being creative and using their imaginations!
