Description

How do monuments and memorials honor important events, people, and ideals in our culture? In this unit students will analyze the reasons people construct monuments and memorials, complete a group activity to learn about existing U.S. monuments and memorials, and design and build a their own monument or memorial that honors a person, event, or American ideal of their hometown. Everything you need to inspire your students to learn about America events and important Americans is in this unit. It can be used as a classroom project or as an independent project for your fast finishers.
