Description
A package of worksheets that gets students to create polynomial expressions (or equations) based on visual patterns.
Students are given the first three terms of a pattern and must draw out the fourth term. Then they must determine an expression that represents that pattern. From there, they are given questions that require them to use the polynomial to solve for the answer (the fourth question in each pattern requires them to turn the polynomial into an equation, which they must then solve).
The worksheets can be used as a warm up at the start of class or as a half-day/full-day activity.
The package includes 8 different patterns, with increasing difficulty.
