Description
This activity provides students the opportunity to think like a programmer through the creation of flowcharts. During the lesson, students are instructed to create flowchart in an engineering notebook which describes the process for completing a series of complex tasks. For each task students must use a vector-based drawing software such as Microsoft Publisher or Excel to graphically create their flowchart.
The activity provides nine everyday complex tasks such as "eat sushi with wasabi and soy sauce until full". There are also two activities listed at the end of the document which reference activities used in the Arduino Uno 3 Ultimate Starter Kit provided by Vilros (see link below). These activities can be modified or deleted depending on available resources.
