Description
Data collection and analysis can sometimes be difficult for young children. Using a glyph or picture can help them tovisualize the data and make comparisons and interpret the information presented. This snowman glyph is a great activity for wintertime, especially when it first snows.
Included in this package is an explanation of what a glyph is, a sample of common glyph symbols, a snowman glyph form (2 pages), a blank snowman template, colored pieces to cut out, a blank form for creating a personal glyph, and a sample list of some questions that can be asked for classification, counting, and comparison based on the symbols chosen.
Additional pages have been added with Canadian spelling. They have a flag on the bottom left corner for easy identification
Creating a graph with the data collected could also be an extension activity.
Here are some of my other glyphs.
Thank You for your purchase of this product. I hope you find it helpful.
