Description

This ready to use resource is perfect for teaching your students about how to identify and create theme in their writing. By purchasing this product you will receive access to an editable mini lesson slide deck (PPT) complete with 4 clips to watch with your students to practice identifying theme, a blank worksheet (PDF) to use while discussing/watching the clips, and another blank worksheet (PDF) for students to use to brainstorm ideas to create the theme for their own fictional story. This resource is perfect to use as a stand alone mini lesson, as part of a greater fictional narrative unit, or even to enhance understanding of themes in literature (just be sure to explain that movies/TV begin as pieces of writing!).

Please note- if the YouTube videos in the slides are removed for whatever reason here are the video titles: "The Show Must Go On - Bluey!", "Spongebob SquarePants | F.U.N. Song", "The LEGO Movie - Ghost Vitruvius & Emmett's Sacrifice", and "Disney's Frozen - Olaf Explains Love to Anna".
