This worksheet guides students in creating a bar graph from a simple data set, reinforcing key skills in organizing and visualizing information.  It is perfect as a quick warm-up, independent practice, or homework assignment.

There is a mini-lesson at the top of the page, followed by data within a tally chart that students must turn into a bar chart. To finish, there are two word problems (involving addition and subtraction) that students must solve based on the data set. The exercise should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
