Description
This resource can be used to support Creative Curriculum Intentional Teaching Cards M14 Patterns and M22 Story Problems.
IT M14 Patterns- I use this resource with my Pre-K students during small group time. I print off the different pages and cut them up. During small group, we create several patterns together using the pictures. Then I allow each child to pick the pictures that they would like to use to create their own pattern. Once they have successfully created their own pattern, they glue it in order onto their construction paper.
IT M22 Story Problems- I use this resource with my Pre-K students during small group. I print of different pages and cut them up. During small group, I have a student pick a picture and begin to tell a math story using the picture. For example: There was 1 construction worker working on the road and then 2 more construction workers joined her. Then we count how many workers are in total using the pictures on the table.
I also use this resource in the art/ fine motor center. I have found that my students like to practice cutting out the different pictures related to our study. They have also incorporated them into their artwork.
