Creative Problem Solving using a Real World Problem and the 3D Printer
Share

Description

This unit uses Creative Problem Solving processes to define a real world problem, research the problem, create solutions, evaluate solutions, and implement the solution. At the end of the unit students will have created a prototype using craft items and recycled materials. Students will use computer aided design software to create a 3D rendering of their invention. This unit can be completed without a 3D printer. This unit is ideally designed to be completed after students have been introduced to the Creative Problem Solving Process and applied each of the steps individually. This unit uses a free online software called Tinkercad. This software allows students to create a 3D rendering of their solution.
