Using adjectives for each of the five senses, students must write a descriptive, spooky Halloween story for one out of the five prompts. Students will not only practice their creative writing skills, but they will also work on their adjective use to fully describe something. The writing assignment calls for at least one fully developed paragraph.

Full directions and a rubric are included to provide students with a clear understanding of expectations. Extra credit bonus points can be earned if students use more than one adjective describing each of the senses. Also included is a brainstorming sheet where students should write their phrase ideas using adjectives for each of the five senses.
