Students use this assignment to break down articles that they would typically skim over - They have to find the main topic, supporting details, give a reflection, etc. I use this typically when we receive a new copy of the New Horizons magazine, or when I want the kids to choose an online article related to the current subject we are learning about.

My students loved using this resource and really benefited from it.
This was a great activity for them to stretch their brains.
Not only does it teach them to analyze text.. but between you and me, its great to keep them occupied when I need some extra time to catch up on grading. Haha. Thank you!
