Do you want your students to do Current Events? Here is a Current Event graphic organizer I have used for years with my high school government and history students. My students did a current event every week in my course independently. This could be used independently or done in class.

The student handout is generic enough that it could be used in any course. It can be used digitally or printed out for use by hand.

It is fully editable so you can change anything that you need in order to tailor it to your students. I have also included a blank grading checklist and a checklist with the suggested point values I used with my students.
