Description
This curriculum provides independent cursive instruction and practice for the entire year. Students watch You Tube videos that clearly demonstrate the formation of each letter and how to connect the letters to other letters.
Students are not practicing a skill without instruction!
Often students are given cursive as morning work or center work without necessary lessons in letter formation. This happens because teachers do not have time to teach cursive with all the other demands on their time!
Each video is 1.5 to 3 minutes in length. A lesson (usually 2 videos) can be completed within 15 minutes. Students can do this independently and even at home! Videos can be rewatched as needed.
A short blurb is also provided within the product for teachers wanting to give specific instruction. For example,
- Lowercase e: begin at the baseline, make an undercurve to the midline, make a small curve to the left forming the loop, slant to just before the baseline, make an undercurve to halfway between the baseline and the midline to connect to the next letter
Once students begin practicing the proper formation of letters the bundle of 38 practice packets can easily be used as morning work or center practice.
