This spreadsheet allows you to enter in numeric equalities between units (for example
"12 inches = 1 foot") or situational equivalencies (for example 8 slices = 1 pizza) and then generates the front and back of "Conversion Factor Cards" with a conversion factor on one side, and it's reciprocal on the other side.
Using a copier in Single --> Double sided mode, a sheet of "Custom Flipable Conversion Factor Cards" is created and can then be cut out for use as student manipulables...
Great for teaching beginners to do multi-step conversions. Includes a challenge activity that allows student to compute the equivalent gas mileage (mpg) for an all electric Hyundai Ioniq 9.
