I am sorry you feel that way. There are 2 pages of directions and a FAQ page. The only directions you need are to print the task cards and decoder sheet. Cut out the task cards and let the students solve the problems. My 5th graders love this activity and are very engaged. If the decoder is too hard for your students you do not have to use it for the activity.
