3. You can organize your class into seven “Expert Groups” and follow the templates which prompt them to plan a presentation on what their assigned reading skill is, how it impacts the reading process and apply their knowledge to Lou. 

All skills are being applied to the same Pixar short film, Lou, which allows students to have that background knowledge of the film and delve deeply into the application of the reading skills. It’s an engaging way to think deeply about these essential skills! They will have so much fun, they may not even know they are entering into a rigorous reading task. 

There is innate differentiation in this project because lower level students create more basic analysis while high level students create more detailed analysis. Students can work on the same project, demonstrating the same standard mastery yet their implementation can meet their unique needs as learners. That’s the power of a well designed digital project!
