This game includes 20 rounds where students drag and drop the names of each "Mystery Triangle". They name it by angle type (obtuse, right, or acute) and then they name it by side length (scalene, isosceles, equilateral). Then they match each name with its corresponding property. For example- "This is an obtuse triangle because it has one obtuse angle" and "This is a scalene triangle because it has no congruent sides."

This game can be used whole group, as a math center, in small groups, for partner work, as a take-home activity, or as a challenge activity for early finishers. The possibilities are truly endless!

Classify two-dimensional figures based on the presence or absence of parallel or perpendicular lines, or the presence or absence of angles of a specified size. Recognize right triangles as a category, and identify right triangles.
Understand that attributes belonging to a category of two-dimensional figures also belong to all subcategories of that category. For example, all rectangles have four right angles and squares are rectangles, so all squares have four right angles.
