Description
This simple genetics experiment, recommended for grade 7 Biology, is always a hit with students as they extract and observe DNA samples from various fruits and vegetables. They will also learn about DNA structure and the basic concepts necessary to understand mutation and variation. Includes teacher preparation notes, student handouts, as well as opportunities for reflection, discussion, and extension.
