My students don't take a lot of notes but these feel like a "treat" because of the fun doodle nature. They like being able to add colors as they review and follow along with the lecture.

This is one of my favorite resources to use when teaching DNA. I create a larger one as an anchor chart that I post in the classroom. Each student gets a copy for their notebook as well. Love it.
Great, simple notes and a great visual to include for students to understand DNA.
I like doodle notes for several reasons. They allow for some visual learning/review, give kids a chance to show creativity, and eat up a little time when you need a break :)
My students were engaged and as I monitored them in their small group, I noticed the discussions were productive. This is a good activity to use.
