Description
This DNA replication review 16-piece puzzle is a great active engagement tool. Content focuses on DNA structure and replication. While students' hands are sorting, their minds are questioning, organizing, and making connections!
There are three versions of the puzzle available so you choose what might best match your class or you can differentiate for your students -
Level 1 - Does not have terms/images along the outside edges.
Level 2 - The pieces that belong in the center are colored grey.
Level 3 - No hints - This one is a challenge!
There are also two formats of each version - one that is correct and one that is jumbled (great for student cutting!). A teacher's info page explains the three levels and instructions for using the puzzle.
Terms to match include:
antiparallel, purines, pyrimidines, semiconservative, bacteriophage, chromatin, DNA ligase, double helix, DNA replication, DNA polymerase I, DNA polymerase III, nuclease, euchromatin, heterochromatin, topoisomerase, helicase, histone, Okazaki fragment, deoxyribose, nucleotides, transformation, leading strand, lagging strand, complementary
For single classroom only; not to be shared publicly.
