Description

Help students reframe their challenging behaviors in a positive light while tracking frequency data. This behavior chart is intended to track daily behavior occurrences and can be adapted to fit the needs of your students.

1. Set goals for replacement behaviors in positive terms (ie "I will keep by hands to myself" instead of "I will not hit")

2. Define the criteria for success (ie tally each prompt needed: 0-2 tallies for a happy face, 4-3 tallies for a neutral face, 5+ tallies for a sad face)

3. Set your schedule. You can break the day down by time, subject, or whatever works for you and your student!

4. Set a target number of happy faces and neutral faces the student will aim for and have them chose a method of reinforcement. Track frequency of behaviors throughout the day.

5. Determine whether reinforcement was earned and complete checkout questions.

This chart can be used to address a wide variety of behaviors, including talking out of turn, aggression, sustained effort, socially inappropriate behaviors, work completion, etc.
