My first graders have a MAJOR case of spring fever and needed a little extra motivation. I created this focus chart to help them get their behavior back on track!
This is such a simple intervention tool that can be used for a whole group or even an individual student. Simply choose ONE behavior that you want them to focus on for the day. Remind them to think about other appropriate behavior, but let them know you especially want them to focus on this specific action and you will be watching closely for it. Each time you see them doing a good job, give them a star. When they earn all 5 stars, they will get a prize or reward activity!

This is a great resource for classroom management.
This resource is working great for my student who is troubling focusing. I use a sand timer and he needs to focus on his work that long and then he earns a star. After earning five stars he is able to earn a reward. It was so great to find something so simple to be able to use for him.
