Daily Math Word Problem Solving Journal K-2
Share

Description

The Daily Math Word Problem Solving Journal encourages the use of different mathamatical strategies, such as, the use of numberlines, a hundred chart, five-frames, sketching (visualizations), part-part-whole mats, and writing number sentences. I would recommend to do one problem a day with your students. I have my students use two different crayons to represent the two parts of the word problem. See student sample for ideas.

I used these in our morning math block for students to complete as a warm up. It was easy to use and my kids got the hang of it after a few sessions today.
