Included in this month’s product are 20 practice pages and 3 work mats that are great for small group instruction and then for independent centers. Students will count, fill in a ten frame to represent a number, fill in missing numbers of a sequence, add 1 and subtract 1 from a number, add a single-digit number to 10 to equal the teen numbers, and fill in a number bonds with numbers that equal the targeted number.

This is a beginning number sense unit designed for the beginning of first grade or for higher kindergarten students. This unit is the foundation of the other units in this series of 9 modules that will be covering all the standards in the Number and Operations in Base 10 standards for first grade. The future months in this series cover numbers up to 120 and beyond.
