This pack contains 50 multistep word problems, 25 are 5th-6th grade level, and denoted by a candy corn on the word problems, and 25 are 3rd-4th grade level, and are denoted by a wrapped candy or with nothing on the word problem, to help differentiate your groups and help with student needs. All Word Problems are themed around October and Halloween. It includes word problems that involve whole numbers, decimals, fractions, and elapsed time. It is a good morning work activity, beginning of math period task, or as an independent station. Included are half page sheets that students can glue into a math notebook, you can project onto the board, or Laminate and use in small group. If you would like all of their work on one page you can use the student answer sheet that includes the 5 days. They are also in Probe form with a Data Recording Sheet to Match in order to track students’ progress throughout the month.

Another format that Both Sets of 25 multistep word problems come in are as task cards. They are included as well as a student answer sheet and a teacher key.

Also included, is a word problem clue word poster to display in your classroom. For easy reference there are quarter page clue word sheets as well for students as well.

Lastly, there are student practice sheets for creating their own word problems. The first set includes scaffolds to help students begin to write word problems and then solve their problems followed by a blank set for complete student creation.
