With this set of slides, students will learn a new vocabulary word each day. The words included were chosen based on an accumulation of commonly used words on standardized tests and text books in the sixth grade. I take five minutes at the beginning of the day to talk about the word, and student's record the word and definition in their interactive notebooks. They refer to the list all year and even use new words in their writing. Each slide includes the word, definition, sentence, forms of the word, and a photo.
