YEARLY Daily Word Problems
My team did a lot of reflection after the year and like all 3rd grade teachers, we struggled with word problems. I wanted my kids to receive daily practice, a routine that the kids would be comfortable with.
With this pack students will learn how to:
{1} Color code word problems to find he parts and whole.
{2} Understand the parts and whole as it relates addition/subtraction, multiplication/division problems.
{3} Write out known and unknown in problem.
{4} Math Writing: after students solve the problem they are able to efficiently write how they solved. This is great for those multiple-choice questions that don't give the answer, but the process to find the answer.
Included:
graphic organizer for students to use the first week of learning. You can wean this off of this to save paper. Continue to use the graphic organizer for those kids that need the accommodations.
