These 34 task cards cover dangling and misplaced modifiers. They would be a great tool for high school ELA teachers to assess student understanding or review for an upcoming exam.
This resource includes a PDF document with a link to download the Boom Cards.
These BOOM™ Cards include:
- Identifying the best choice when shown 2 to 4 sentences as options
- Identifying whether a sentence is incorrect due to a dangling modifier or a misplaced modifier
- Given a text excerpt, students must choose the answer that corrects a portion of a paragraph
Other Key Features:
- Each card has self-grading multiple choice questions so it’s easy to self-check.
- Students receive immediate feedback and a chance to correct incorrect answers. And you will have access to detailed reports on their progress!

This product contains only the dangling and misplaced modifiers questions from my high school grammar bellringers. I will be categorizing the weeks by grammar topic and releasing them as BOOM cards.
