Description
Review and reinforce concepts in probability & statistics! Use these multiple choice math warm-ups (with detailed, easy-to-understand solutions!) to develop those critical skills!! This bundle contains both data analysis sets (Level 1 and Level 2) consisting of 30 problem pages (3 problems per page) with detailed solutions.
These warm-ups were developed by two certified high school math teachers based on standardized testing’s increased emphasis on data analysis. Topics include simple and compound probability, odds, mean, median, mode, range, factorial, permutation, combination, standard deviation, sampling methods, experimental design, and validity. Questions require students to analyze various data displays including tree diagrams, stem-and-leaf plots, box-and-whisker plots, pictographs, histograms, scatter plots, pie graphs, and normal distributions.
Level 1 warm-ups are appropriate for advanced students in 7th grade or for any 8th grade math class. Level 2 warm-ups are appropriate for advanced students in 8th grade or for students in any high school math class. Use our warm-ups on a daily basis to prepare students for data analysis questions on standardized tests!
Key features:
- Multiple choice format is based on the design of numerous standardized tests.
- Space is available on problem pages for students to work through each solution.
- Detailed solutions are provided for every question. Step-by-step instructions are written in student-friendly terms. Methods shown reinforce the development of basic mathematical processes.
- Common Core State Standards for Mathematics are listed for each problem.
- Most appropriate Mathematical Practice from the Common Core Standards are noted for each problem (although more than one practice often applies).
This bundle includes 30 pages of problems with 3 problems per page and their corresponding solutions (90 problems total with solutions). Emphasize data analysis and enrich your curriculum with this supplement!
These data analysis questions can also be found in other collections of our math warm-ups – Gaining Math Momentum Level 1 & Level 2 Warm-Ups (products with the green or purple cover).
